There is different jurisdiction where a police officer can work. They can work for a municipality a province or the country. In each jurisdiction there are policemen who work in their cruiser and the community or directly in the headquarters.
How can I become policeman?
To become a policeman, you have to apply to the Police Technology Program offered in many CEGEPS, and complete the 3-year training program. After getting your college diploma, you have to apply at the National Police School in Nicolet and follow a training of 15 weeks. Then, you can apply in the police forces of your choice.
How much money do policemen make?
In average, a newly engaged policeman make $48000 a year. After 5 years of experience, the same policeman make $85000 a year. The salaries can vary across regions, and it's possible to get a prime going to $20000 a year if the policeman works in a distant region.
What kinds of additional training do policemen need?
